Navigating the energy transition
The energy transition, from fossil fuels to renewable generation and from a supply-driven to a demand-driven system, affects us all. The electricity networks are being renovated, expanded and made smarter. Grid congestion however remains a serious risk. Variable power purchase agreements, now even with prices per quarter of an hour, are a guiding element to optimize consumption and to support stability.
Empowering the future
Local energy generation, energy storage and conversion will play an increasingly important role in this new system. Smart meters are now commonplace, but there is still a (sustainable) world to be won in the field of smart management. Generating installations and large consumers must be able to respond flexibly to avoid imbalance. Combinations of existing and new technology facilitate new business cases.
